A review of The Uniques 02
Its a crime that the Uniques isn't a more talked about book, and that I've never seen it in a comic store!
I remember reading about the book on one of the various comic media websites ( I think it was Newsarama) and being quite interested in it. I asked about it, and then tried ordering it to no avail.
So here I am however many years later and not only is it as good as I'd hoped it would be, its better!
Great art, fantastic characters, very well written dialog, a fully realized world, and whats shaping up to be a great plot!
I'm beyond impressed, and flat our angry that this book hasn't been recognized as one of the all time greats in the world of independent superhero books!
then again that is the curse of the independent superhero book. It doesn't always matter how good it is if its independent its ala bout how much people talk about the book. So here I am screaming from the virtual roof-tops: ”READ THE UNIQUES! THIS BOOK IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!”

A review of The Uniques 06
I LOVE the uniques! And the 1st multi part story arc did not disappoint one bit! The high level of art and writing hasn't missed a beat, and the actions sequences have been original and fun as hell! I especially love the realistic dialog that sports kids talking like kids and adults talking like adults. I'm so damned glad I found this book as its very very quickly becoming one of my favorite indy superhero books up there with titles like Invincible, Pantheon, and Supreme.

A review of Avatar of the Futurians 01
Sadly I can't praise this book as I wish I could.
I loved the Futurians concept, and am thrilled to see a book about Avatar.
The writing is filled with enthusiasm, but comes off as somewhat crude as does the art.
I will continue to buy the series in this great affordable digital format though, as I love the character and the 1st issue was just enough to keep me interested.

A review of Hero By Night Trade
I really wish that I could select 1/2 ratings as this one is the perfect example of a book that is a solid fun book I feel enthusiastic towards, but nothing that I would praise as brilliant.
Although its not that far off to be honest as the main concept is great, the characters are solid as is the character development.

What takes the book down a notch for me is how I have to suspend my belief over the characters name!
”Hero by Night” is something I have a hard time believing people would stick with.
”Night Hero”, ”Night”, or even just ”Hero” I could buy, which might sound nit-picky. But just say the characters name out loud like you're describing him to someone and tell me that it doesn't feel forced.
A good name for the title of the Book, just not great for a character in my opinion.

The art is solid as well, (although not spectacular which could turn some off) and there is no doubt that Coffman is a very good storyteller both visually and as a writer.

I really enjoyed Volume 1 and look forward to volume 2!

A review of Hero House
I have one word for this book:
FUN!
Hero House is a great idea that also sports Solid writing with compelling and pretty creative characters, as well as art that is approaching greatness.

I enjoyed the hell out of Hero House and am looking forward to whatever writer Justin Aclin, and artist mike Dimayuga do next!
Thanks again Wowio for turning me onto a book that I would never have seen otherwise!
