Following Julia's victory in the Tournament of Arms semi-finals, the Edge-Guard waits for the Earth-born supervillains Tirant and Array to make their move for one of Jade's Ziggurats. Sensing the villains departing, they move to head them off. En route, Tirant both celebrates and worries over Bain, the jewel-like artifact that has been the key to much of his progress on Jade.
