Wolff & Byrd are attending a bar association convention in San Diego, where Alanna meets Chase Hawkins when he accidentally breaks her glasses. Chase delivers the keynote speech of the convention, then pursues Alanna. Meanwhile, Jeff is being pursued by attorney Nate Wurtzler, who wants W&B to join his firm on a case. Back at the office, Toby Bascoe shows up to do some research in W&B’s law library and accidentally unleashes Th’Lulu, a Lovecraftian monster from another dimension who falls for Mavis and tosses Toby around the room.

Note: This issue is roughly based on Comic-Con in San Diego and has "programs," a "dealers' room," and caricatures of many Comic-Con folks and comics creators.
