Keeping organized navigation is one of the best ways to improve your blog’s user experience. A navigation menu with submenus will help users better find what they’re looking for on your blog. As you grow as a blogger, your blog will likely begin to expand beyond a simple blog post format. You might think about adding new sections like “About Me” and “Contact Me” pages, along with adding new categories for each of your posts based on their subject matter. In this post, we will show you how to create a drop-down navigation menu with a submenu in Blogger.

How To Create A Drop Down Navigation Menu With Submenu In Blogger?

In the below image you may see a drop-down menu. It is created in Blogger. This is how it is created.

Step 1: First of all, go to the home page of your blog and write the text. In this case, I have written: “How to Create a Drop Down Navigation Menu with Submenu in Blogger”. Then click on the Tools option from the top menu bar and then choose Text Widget from it.

Step 2: Now choose the desired widget from the list and then type where you want to place this widget on your blog. In my case, I have placed it under the “Content” category in the right sidebar. You can also place it anywhere you like on your blog (it will just change its position). Now click on the “Add” button from here and then you will see something like this:

Step 3: Now you need to create a new menu on your blog. Click on the “Add” button again and then choose “New Menu”. Now you will see something like this:

Step 4: Now you need to add a page (or post) in your blog. Click on the “Add” button and then choose “New Page (Post)”. Now you will see something like this:

Step 5: Now add a title for the page, then enter some contents of the page in it and then click on the “Create” button from here. You will see something like this:

Step 6: You can now see a submenu that looks like this with some pages already added under it. It is created by clicking on the submenu itself from here. You can also create any other menu for any other category or subcategory that you want to make available in your site menu. For example, I have created two menus as follows by following these steps. This is what my left sidebar looks like now:

Step 7: Now you need to create a page (or post) in your blog. Click on the “Add” button and then choose “New Page (Post)”. Now you will see something like this:

What Is A Drop-Down Menu With A Submenu?

This is an advanced navigation menu that can help you organize your site and make it easier for your readers to navigate between different sections of your site. A drop-down navigation menu with a submenu allows you to display links to different pages or sections of your site as a menu that appears when a visitor clicks on the main menu item. When a visitor clicks on a menu item, a submenu appears with links to pages related to that main menu item.

How To Create A Submenu In Blogger?

    • Go to your Blogger dashboard. Select “Template” from the menu on the left-hand side of your screen. Select “Edit” next to your current template. Select “Advanced”. Click on “Submenu” from the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
    • Select a submenu by clicking on it in the list and then click “Add” to add a new submenu item with that submenu.
    • Enter a title for each submenu item and then enter some contents of each submenu item in it and then click on “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu
    • Select “Active” for each submenu item and select “Hidden” for each submenu item that you do not want to show up as the main navigation menu.
    • Select “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu
    • You can also add a “drop-down arrow” icon next to the title of each submenu item to indicate that it is a drop-down menu and then click on “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu.
    • You can also add a “drop-down arrow” icon next to the title of each submenu item to indicate that it is a drop-down menu and then click on “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu.
    • You can also add a link to each submenu item by clicking on the link and then clicking on “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu.
    • You can also add a link to each submenu item by clicking on the link and then clicking on “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu.
    • You can also add a “drop-down arrow” icon next to the title of each submenu item to indicate that it is a drop-down menu and then click on “Save” from here when you are done with adding all the items for that submenu.

    Bottom line

Having a drop-down navigation menu with a submenu will help your readers navigate around your site more easily. In addition, it will help you organize your site by grouping similar content together and making it easier for you to add new content to your blog. Having a drop-down navigation menu with a submenu is an advanced navigation feature that can add a level of professionalism to your blog.
