    Moisturize

One of the best ways to get rid of a red ring around your lips is to moisturize your lips. Use a good quality lip balm or lip gloss with SPF 15 or higher. If you have cracked or dry lips, use a good quality lip balm with shea butter and jojoba oil.

    Avoid Lipstick

Lipstick causes most of the damage to the lips as it is loaded with chemicals and also doesn’t allow your skin to breathe properly. The best way to keep your lips moisturized is by using natural ingredients like coconut butter, almond oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil.

    Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking plenty of water will help you keep your skin hydrated from within as well as help flush out the toxins from your body system. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day for healthy glowing skin.

    Use Natural Remedies

There are many natural remedies that will help you get rid of the red rings around your lips naturally. Try some of these remedies at home: Mix 1 tbsp of honey with 1 tsp rose water and apply this mixture to the affected area for 2-3 minutes and then wash it off with cold water; Apply a mixture made by mixing 1 tsp sugar + ½ tsp lemon juice + 2 tbsp olive oil on the affected area for 10 minutes; Apply fresh aloe vera gel on the affected area for an hour before going to bed and wash off in the morning; Apply a mixture of 1 tbsp lemon juice + 1 tsp glycerin on the affected area. Leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse off with cold water; Apply a mixture made by mixing 2 tbsp plain yogurt + 2 tbsp fresh lime juice + 1 tsp honey on the affected area for 15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

    Avoid Sun Exposure

The sun is a big enemy of your lips. It causes a lot of damage to your lips if you are exposed to the sun for too long. Always wear a good quality sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher before stepping out in the sun and keep your lips protected. Apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly on your lips before going out in the sun; Apply a lip balm or lip gloss with SPF 15 or higher before stepping out in the sun; Wear wide-brimmed hats; Keep yourself covered with umbrellas when going out in the sun.

    Moisturize

One of the best ways to get rid of a red ring around your lips is to moisturize your lips. Use a good quality lip balm or lip gloss with SPF 15 or higher. If you have cracked or dry lips, use a good quality lip balm with shea butter and jojoba oil.

    Use Ice Cubes

Rubbing ice cubes on your lips regularly can help reduce inflammation and redness caused by chapped and dry skin around the mouth area.

    Make Your Own Lip Scrub

You can make your own lip scrub at home by mixing equal amounts of brown sugar, honey, olive oil, and natural mint extract together. Rub this scrub gently on your dry chapped lips for 2-3 minutes once every week for soft supple kissable pinkish lips.

    Use a Lip Mask

A lip mask is one of the best ways to get rid of a red ring around the lips. Apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly on your lips and then apply a lip balm or lip gloss with SPF 15 or higher. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash off with cold water.

    Try Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera is one of the best remedies for chapped lips. Regular application of aloe vera gel will help you get rid of the red rings around your lips naturally.

    Use Cucumber

Cucumber contains silica, which helps in healing skin problems like chapped, dry, and cracked lips. It also helps in reducing inflammation and redness caused by chapped and dry skin around the mouth area. Cut a fresh cucumber into thin slices; Rub the slices gently on your dry chapped lips for 2-3 minutes; Wash off with cold water after 15 minutes.

    Use Lemon Juice

Lemon juice contains citric acid that acts as an astringent, which helps to tighten the skin cells making them look smooth, soft, and younger-looking. Apply lemon juice directly on your dry cashed lips for 10-15 seconds; Rinse off with cold water after 30 seconds; Do this at least twice a day until you get rid of the red ring around your lips naturally.

What Is Red Ring Around Lips?

A red ring around lips is a skin reaction caused by friction or rubbing of lipstick on your lips. It is most commonly seen around the mouth area. It is quite visible on pale or dark-skinned people. It can also be caused by excessive licking of lips. Other than that, some people are genetically prone to develop redness around their lips. Mostly, the problem occurs when the lipstick is applied in a haphazard manner. If you don’t apply lipstick properly, the pigments in it can easily rub off and stain your skin. This can lead to a red mark around your lips that may take hours or days to go away. Lipstick can also cause an allergic reaction in some people. It is important to remember that not every lip product will cause a red mark on the skin near the lips. It’s only when the color you choose is too intense and doesn’t get absorbed into the lips very well.

How To Avoid Red Ring Around Lips After Applying Lipstick?

    • First, apply a lip balm to your lips. Let the lip balm sit for a few minutes so that it can get absorbed into your lips. This will make them soft and supple.
    • Gently dab the lipstick on your lips using either a brush or finger. Don’t rub it vigorously as this can cause friction that can cause redness around your lips.
    • Keep changing the lipstick color every day to avoid allergy or excessive rubbing of one color on the skin around your lips repeatedly.
    • Use lighter colors of lipstick as they are easier to apply and don’t rub off easily on the skin around your lips.
    • If you are allergic to some of the chemicals present in the lipstick, then it is better to stay away from them.
    • Apply your lipstick after you have cleansed your lips and washed your hands with soap and water. This will remove most of the bacteria in your hands that can cause redness around your lips when they come in contact with them.
    • Do not apply lip balm before applying lipstick as this can make it sticky and difficult to apply to the lips.
    • Do not apply lip color directly from the tube or stick it onto your lips, as this will lead to the coloring of the skin around your lips as well.
    • Always blot off excess lipstick on a tissue or napkin before applying it to your lips.
    • Try using a different brand of lipstick for a few days so that you can figure out if it is causing allergy or irritation on the skin around your lips or not. If you notice any redness, then stop using that particular brand and try another one instead until you find one that works for you without any allergy issues at all. It may take some time but do not rush into buying a new product immediately without testing out whether it’s causing an allergy or not because if you do so, then chances are high that you may end up buying something even worse than what was causing the allergy in the first place!

    Conclusion

All in all, the red ring around the lips is not a serious issue. It is something that you can prevent by following a few simple tips for applying lipstick. It will not only help to prevent the redness, but it will also make your lipstick last longer. If you have developed a red ring around your lips after applying lipstick, make sure that you follow the methods given above. They will help to get rid of the redness in a matter of minutes.
