You know that moment when you’ve got just the right amount of mascara, and you can easily see how much has gone on your face? That’s the perfect time to add some extra volume, or maybe just some length. But what if you don’t want to go over the top and end up with clumpy, smudged-looking lashes? What if you don’t want to buy new mascara every week? Unfortunately, mascaras do not come naturally with anti-clumping properties. They usually have chemicals in them to make them easier to apply and remove—and they create a barrier against moisture and bacteria, too. This means that once you put them on, they clump together and stay in place no matter how many times you wipe them away.

How To Remove Mascara Without Makeup Remover?

    Try Fiber Mask!

If your mascara won’t come off even with the use of your favorite mascara remover, you might have an issue with your lashes themselves. If you have clumpy eyelashes, then try applying a fiber mask once a week for 6 weeks. This mask will help unclamp your eyelashes and get your mascara off easier!

    Use Baking Soda

Baking soda is another great iron and copper-free remover to get your mascara off quickly. Just sprinkle a little baking soda on your eyes and gently rub it in with your fingers or a spoon. Do this 2-3 times a day for good results!

    Try Lemon Aid

If your mascara is turning black on the inside and looking weird on the outside, then you might have an issue with your skin’s pH level. If your skin is too acidic, then it won’t be able to properly absorb the facial ingredients like zinc, copper, and witch hazel. If this is the case, then your mascara will keep clumping and you’ll have a much harder time getting it off! Lemon aid is a known skin brightener and has powerful bleaching properties which will help your mascara get rid of its blackness! Just mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice with 5-6 spoons of water and apply it to your face 2-3 times a day for good results.

    Use Thermal Water Bath

If your mascara is still clogging your pores after several weeks, then you might want to consider changing up your routine. Baking soda and fiber masks are both good at removing makeup but they don’t address the cause of the clogging! A steaming water bath is a perfect solution! In a hot water bowl or tub, place a few drops of essential oil such as lavender, chamomile, or tea tree. Once the oil is hot, add 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil and turn the heat to low. Once the oil is hot, place a few drops of your favorite mascara remover in the water and gently massage it into your eye area for 30-60 seconds, twice a day for good results.

    Try A Mask!

If your mascara is starting to get on your face after a while, then it’s time to try a mask! The side effects of removing your makeup with makeup remover are just too scary! You might get redness and swelling at first but as the day goes on it gets worse and worse! Makeup removal can also lead to clogged pores and blackheads which can cause pimples or acne. If you’re looking for an easy way to remove your mascaras without using makeup remover, then read on.

What Are The Different Ways To Remove Mascara?

    1. Rice/Flour Water

This is a great first step to removing makeup. Just mix 2 cups of rice or flour with 1/4 cup of water and apply it to your face, wait for 20 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water and you’re done!

    2. Oil-based Mascara Remover

Oil-based mascara remover is much more effective than regular water and rice masks. If you have sensitive skin, then this is not the right mask for you! The best oil-based mascara remover is actually witch hazel! Just mix 10ml of witch hazel with 100ml of olive oil and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water and pat dry. This will remove most makeup (except waterproof mascara) very effectively but if you want to remove waterproof mascara, then just use a warm soapy cloth to wipe off the excess oil instead of rinsing off with warm water.

    3. Oatmeal Mask

Oatmeal is awesome at soothing irritated skin and removing makeup so why not try making an oatmeal mask yourself? Just mix 1 cup of oatmeal (or quick oats) in 2 cups of boiling hot water, stir well until all the oats are dissolved, and let cool down to room temperature before adding 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional). Mix well again, and leave on your face for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cold water.

What Is The Cause Of Mascara?

    1. Lack of Sleep

A lack of sleep can cause a person to be irritable, depressed, and anxious. It’s very common for people who don’t get enough sleep to develop symptoms of an unbalanced diet. A lack of sleep can also cause you to eat poorly as you are more likely to crave fast food or junk food when you don’t get enough sleep.

    2. Stress

Stress is a big factor when it comes to mascara clumps and smudges. Stress can make you eat too much, make you feel more irritable, and lead to bad decisions. If you want your eyeliner to last for longer, then try taking a deep breath every now and then! Also, take a moment before going out for your daily tasks and meditate on what is important in life! This will help reduce stress levels in your body and make you healthier overall!

    3. Lack of Water

Many people forget that they need water every day in order for their bodies to function properly. Water helps the body remove toxins from the body which causes the skin on our faces (and bodies!) to become dry & flaky. This can also cause the skin on our eyes (especially the eyelids) to become dry and irritated which leads us back to using mascara remover! So drink up!

    Conclusion

Mascara is not something you just get over easily! Not only is it difficult to remove, but it can also be costly to buy replacement mascara when you run out. Luckily, there are a few ways to get rid of mascara without having to go to the beauty supply store or salon.

    FAQ’s

    Q: I don’t have a makeup remover, can I use baby wipes?

A: Baby wipes are great for removing makeup, but not for removing mascara. Baby wipes are not designed to remove waterproof mascara, so they can’t do the job.

Q: Can I use eye drops to remove my mascara?

A: Yes! Eye drops work great at removing any makeup that is stuck on your lashes. The eye drop acts as a lubricant which makes it easier to remove the eyelashes from the glue or stain that is holding them in place. You can even buy an eye drop applicator at most pharmacies in order to apply the eye drops directly to your eyes without having to dip your fingers into a bottle of water.

Q: Can I use baby oil to remove my mascara?

A: Yes! Baby oil is a great alternative to baby wipes for removing makeup. Baby oil is also used to remove makeup from our faces and body, so it should work well at removing the waterproof mascara that is on your lashes.
